Before I was ever leading IRL gatherings or building online communities, I spent over a decade working in hospitality — managing restaurants, launching new spaces, designing menus, overseeing full-scale catering programs — all of it.
And in 2023, I launched my very own dinner party series, The Ceremony, born out of a desire to take my online community of entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders offline. To cultivate belonging. To create space for genuine connection, fresh perspectives, and inspiring conversation. A space to simply be, without expectation.
So at this point, hosting is in my blood. It's a practice I know intimately. Creating beautiful spaces for people to gather, connect, and feel held is something I’ve devoted a large portion of my life to. Because I will forever believe this: In-person gathering without a productivity goal or outcome looming over us is deeply necessary.
Having fun is productive and friendship is spiritual.
Experiencing blissful joy in community, being seen, and building relationships that anchor us are the literal life rafts of both life and business.
As someone who’s obsessed with my friends, is always in relentless pursuit of enjoying life to the max, and has been known to say, “I wish I could live in a perpetual dinner party,” — creating The Link-Up felt inevitable.
I created TLU as a reminder that friendship and having fun aren’t frivolous or secondary or backdrops to “doing the work” first — but instead they are to be prioritized as they are essential to our existence.
I’ve met some of my favourite people across borders, time zones, and Wi‑Fi glitches. But at a certain point, connection needs a body. Presence. A moment where we’re not just texting through our breakthroughs, but witnessing them together.
A space to remember who the fuck we are.
Why we chose this life and what becomes possible when we gather. Not to perform more, ascend, or self‑optimize, but to just be. And to allow for that to be more than enough. For it to be the entire point.
